Toraine Campbell was born in Kingston, St.Catherine Jamaica. He attended Naggo Head Primary, Excelsior High and Holmwood Technical High School, where he did the Arts and Technical subjects. He has (5) CXC subjects including Visual Arts, with a (B).After graduating he pursued a career in painting and has been painting professionally since 2003.
Mr. Campbell specializes in realism, which includes: Still life, landscapes, silhouettes and figure painting. His mediums used are Acrylic on canvas, Oil and water color on paper. He is a self-thought artist but receives a little training from his father Webster Campbell, whom is a well know Artist in Jamaica. Toraine is a member of the Jamaica Artist Guild, JBDC and a regular exhibitor at the Kumbe Me Yabba annual art and craft show, Potters art show, Liguanea Lodge Art Auction, Liguanea Art and craft show and Mandeville annual Art show. He also exhibits at most of the major Hotels in Jamaica like (Pegasus, Wyndam etc.). He recently did a Nude Silhouette exhibition at Hedonism11 in Negril, called ‘’Celebrating the Female Body”. And 2015 he did a few house exhibitions in New York. His works can be seen at ‘’Tings Jamaica stores’’ island wide.
