About Expérience Jamaïque

Expérience Jamaïque (EJ) is a platform to bring Jamaican and Caribbean art and culture to Switzerland and beyond. Through its gallery and blogs, EJ promotes the region’s contemporary visual art and culture. 

Caribbean artists from Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago display a range of artworks including paintings, prints, photographs, works on paper, digital art, and sculptures. These artists are at various stages in their careers and actively engaged in art spaces beyond the Caribbean, though rarely seen in Switzerland.

EJ is the brainchild of Denise Allen, a Jamaican/Swiss who has been living in Geneva since 1998. She has a passion for culture in both countries. Along with a team of associates, Denise established EJ as a unique avenue for discovering artworks by Caribbean artists as well as interesting information about the Caribbean art scene and culture.
