Celebrating Reggae

The organizers of the International Reggae Poster Competition (IRPC) have a big vision to establish the Reggae Hall of Fame museum and performance centre in Kingston, Jamaica.

Two causes are also associated with this competition, the Alpha Boys School and Help Jamaica, both non-profit organisations.

In 2011 the Jamaican Michael Thompson and Maria Papeasfstathiou of Greece began the poster competition, which has grown over the years attracting artists worldwide. 

This year 1060 posters were submitted by artists from 68 countries.  The top three winners in the professional category came from Indonesia, Germany and Portugal; while in the student category they came from Bolivia, China and Greece.
